Updates

I made a few minor updates to the site tonight but no one is likely to see the difference. When I settled in to add some content, I noticed that Chrome indicated that the site was “not secure”. It seems that I somehow screwed up the configuration, and the site wasn’t defaulting to use an encrypted connection. I couldn’t have that, of course. While there isn’t anything on this site that’s particularly sensitive, it’s still a good idea to make sure everything stays private. And while I was dealing with that, I realized that I never updated the privacy policy or cleaned up the sample pages that WordPress sets up by default. So, I fixed that too. Making this thing work comes down to doing a lot of fiddly little tasks. It’s not really all that hard, but it’s time-consuming and tedious.

    1. Probably… I’ve been a little hesitant to make changes to the theme since it seems to be pretty easy to totally break the site. I’ll have to be sure to get a good backup before I try it.
