Peppers – Day 32
It’s like a little forest of pepper plants! I may try to transplant and relocate the rest of them this weekend. I’ll have to see how much time I have and if the weather cooperates.

I finally quit being lazy and got some of the peppers into cups. That’ll give them more room for their roots to grow and more nutrients from the additional soil. I pruned the tops off of the sweet basil. I don’t imagine it’ll hurt it much. The Thai basil isn’t growing as quickly but still
I definitely need to quit procrastinating and get some of these guys into bigger containers.
Some of the peppers are still stuck in their seeds. I’d try to help them out, but I’m afraid I’d just kill them in the process. I’m going to leave them alone and see if they work it out for themselves.
I like to look at the patterns in the leaves of the pepper plants. I might miss having them on my desk when I move them outside. I’m pretty impressed with how well basil grows in the AeroGarden.
There are a few pods that aren’t really thriving but they’re not dead. I’ll give them more time. I’m not in a hurry.
It’s been about two weeks now, and the results are pretty conclusive. Coffee grounds just don’t work well as potting soil on their own. I guess the people that put together the commercial potting soil really do have a decent product. I’ve been saving my coffee grounds for a couple of weeks now and have
It’s Saturday and I’m not putting in any desk time today. The peppers get another day in front of the fan. They’re starting to look pretty sturdy.
I have to go into the office for a while today, so the plants have taken over my desk. I set up the fan again so they can enjoy a little breeze today.
These were some of the first peppers to sprout, and they’re still growing nicely. I definitely need to harvest some basil.
