Below are two plants that are roughly equal in maturity.  Are they the same variety or are they different?

I labeled the one on the left as a scorpion and the one on the right as a fresno, but they look very similar.  If there are any differences between them at this stage, I can’t see it.  The leaves on the one on the left are a little smaller, but that could just be due to individual variation.  I’ve been looking at this long enough that nothing looks any different from anything else.
