I feel like I’m back in the “watching paint dry” stage of watching the peppers.  There’s not a lot of changes from day to day at the moment.  Maybe this weekend I’ll try to put some of these in pots.

I’ve lost a few of the seedlings to mold.  Maybe I’ve been keeping things too wet, or maybe that’s just inevitable.  In any event, I can afford to lose a few here and there since I have way more plants than I need.

13? Scorpion (I might lose one of these to mold, and some of these might have gotten confused with the fresnos.)

That’s a bunch of pepper plants.

The basil is really taking off.  I might harvest a few leaves to add some fresh herbs to whatever I end up having for dinner tonight.  Maybe add them to a salad, or over the leftover beef stew that Beth made on the weekend…

I overhauled the seed tray this morning.  Some mold had started growing around some of the seeds, and I figured it was time clean it up a bit.  Some of the seeds that I put in pods hadn’t come up, so I moved them back to the seed tray a while back.  I don’t think they’re going to grow, but I’m giving them a chance.  They’re in the intensive care unit on the right side.  I still have 1 lemon drop, 3 Bahamian goats, 2 purple cayennes, 1 scotch bonnet, 9 7-pots, and 9 Carolina reapers that haven’t sprouted.  I can’t do much about the low germination rate on the 7-pots.  I don’t have any more of those seeds.  I could try to sprout some more Carolina reapers, but I won’t be too heartbroken if I don’t get any of those.  I can buy them at the store, and really I don’t have much use for them in my kitchen.  I’m a little worried about the mad hatters, but I have more seeds for them.  I put another 9 to sprout and have 5 more seeds in reserve.
