Peppers – Day 5

A bunch more germinated today.  Mostly the same varieties that germinated yesterday, but there were a few new ones.

There was one more fresno.  I set it aside from the others because of the confusion I had with the scorpions yesterday.  I can watch how they develop and compare them to make sure I have the right ones.  Two of what I think were chocolate ghosts germinated.  I’m not certain that’s what they really are.  They might be regular ghost peppers.

I reorganized a bit so I didn’t have to split varieties across containers.  So, this is the lemon drop, mad hatter, and mystery peppers.  I left a blank spot so I can remember the orientation of the container.

The scotch bonnets and purple cayenne are new, and a few more bahamian goat peppers came up.

And there were a few more very innocent scorpion pepper babies.  I kept the ones I’m pretty sure are actually scorpions away from the ones that may have gotten mixed up with the fresnos.

And, of course, the very happy sweet basil…  The seeds were tiny, and I think I got more than one in each pod.  That’s why there are so many leaves sticking up.

It was a bunch of work getting everyone planted, organized and documented.  I expect things will get easier when there isn’t so much replanting to do.
